أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ بِنَيْسَابُورَ، وَأَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ شَاذَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ، قَالَا: أنا حَمْزَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ، نا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّمَا أَنَا لَكُمْ مِثْلُ الْوَالِدِ، فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْغَائِطِ فَلَا يَسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ وَلَا يَسْتَدْبِرْهَا، وَإِذَا اسْتَطَابَ فَلَا يَسْتَطِبْ بِيَمِينِهِ ". " وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ، وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الرَّوْثِ وَالرِّمَّةِ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am to you like a father. When one of you goes to relieve himself, he should neither face the qiblah nor turn his back to it, and when he cleans himself, he should not do so with his right hand." And he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command (the use of) three stones and forbid dung and decayed bone.
