أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ، ثنا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: جَلَسْتُ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ كَمَا مَضَى، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ وَفِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِذَا شَكَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَشَكَّ فِي الْوَاحِدَةِ وَالثِّنْتَيْنِ فَلْيَجْعَلْهَا وَاحِدَةً، وَإِذَا شَكَّ فِي الِاثْنَتَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثِ فَلْيَجْعَلْهَا اثْنَتَيْنِ، وَإِذَا شَكَّ فِي الثَّلَاثِ وَالْأَرْبَعِ فَلْيَجْعَلْهَا ثَلَاثًا حَتَّى يَكُونَ الْوَهْمُ فِي الزِّيَادَةِ وَيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ ".
Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When any of you is in doubt in his prayer: if he is in doubt between one and two, let him count it as one; if he is in doubt between two and three, let him count them as two; and if he is in doubt between three and four, let him consider them three, so that the uncertainty falls on an addition. Then let him perform two prostrations before the salam, and then give the salam."
