(a) The Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), said that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the prostration of recitation in the night (tahajjud) prayer, he would repeatedly recite this supplication: 'Sajada wajhi lilladhi khalaqahu, wa shaqqa sam'ahu wa basarahu bi-hawlihi wa quwwatih' (My face has prostrated to the One who created it and brought forth its hearing and its sight by His might and His power).
(b) Abu Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) added these words in his narration: "So blessed is Allah, the best of creators." [Surah al-Mu'minun: 14]
(c) The marfu' narrations reported from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) on this matter have passed in the previous pages.
