رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنِ بِنْدَارٍ وَزَادَ فِيهِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ، عَنِ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ " فَكَانَ دَاوُدُ مِمَّنْ أُمِرَ نَبِيُّكُمْ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَقْتَدِيَ بِهِ " أَخْبَرَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ، أنبأ سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أنبأ الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ، ثنا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ، فَذَكَرَهُ بِزِيَادَتِهِمَا دُونَ فِعْلِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ بِزَيَادَتِهِمَا.
This same report is narrated through another chain, with the addition that Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): Dawud (peace be upon him) was also among those (guided) people whom your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was commanded to follow; but it does not mention the practice of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
