أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: أَتَانَا ⦗٣٩٥⦘ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ فِي بَادِيَةٍ وَمَعَهُ عَبَّاسٌ فَصَلَّى فِي صَحْرَاءَ لَيْسَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ سُتْرَةٌ، وَحِمَارَةٌ لَنَا وَكُلَيْبَةٌ تَعْبَثَانِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَمَا بَالَى ذَلِكَ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us along with Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) while we were in the open country. He (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in the open country with no sutrah in front of him. Our she-donkey and our small female dog were frolicking in front of him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) paid no attention to them.
