Bayhaqi 327 — The evidence that washing the feet is obligatory

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) told me that a man performed ablution and left a spot the size of a fingernail dry on his foot. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw him and said: "Go back and perform your ablution properly." So he went back, and then he prayed.
