Abd al-Rahman bin Hurmuz, the freed slave of Banu Abd al-Muttalib, said that Abdullah bin Buhaynah (may Allah be pleased with him) was from the tribe of Azd Shanu'ah, was an ally of Banu Abd al-Muttalib bin Abd Manaf, and was also a Companion of the Messenger. He informed him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in the Zuhr prayer, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) stood straight up after the first two rak'ahs, and the people also stood with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), until, when he (peace and blessings be upon him) had completed the prayer and the people were waiting for him (peace and blessings be upon him) to give the salam, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said the takbir while sitting and performed two prostrations before the salam. Then he gave the salam.
