Bayhaqi 2731 — Sitting on the left foot between the two prostrations

It is narrated from Abbas bin Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi that he was in a gathering in which his father (Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him)) was also present, who was a Companion of the Messenger. In that gathering were also Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah, Sayyiduna Abu Usayd and Sayyiduna Abu Humayd al-Sa'idi al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with them). They discussed the prayer, and Sayyiduna Abu Humayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I know more than all of you about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he mentioned the complete hadith. In it, it is also mentioned that he said "Allahu akbar" (Allah is the Greatest) and prostrated, and he held himself up on his hands, his knees and the fronts of his feet, and prostrated. Then he said the takbir and sat, laying one leg down and sitting on it, and he kept the other foot upright; then he said the takbir and prostrated.
(b) It has also been said that in its chain it is narrated from Isa bin Abdullah, who heard from Abbas bin Sahl that he was present with Sayyiduna Abu Humayd, Sayyiduna Abu Usayd and others (may Allah be pleased with them) in prayer.
