أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، ثنا ابْنُ الظَّهْرَانِيِّ (ح) وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ، أنبأ جَدِّي قَالَا: ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: " كُنَّا نَضَعُ الْيَدَيْنِ قَبْلَ الرُّكْبَتَيْنِ، فَأُمِرْنَا بِالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْيَدَيْنِ " كَذَا قَالَ وَالْمَشْهُورُ عَنْ مُصْعَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ حَدِيثُ نَسْخِ التَّطْبِيقِ، وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ، وَلِعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيِّ فِيهِ إِسْنَادٌ آخَرُ، وَلَا أُرَاهُ إِلَّا وَهْمًا.
(a) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that at first we used to place our hands before our knees; then we were commanded "to place our knees before our hands."
So he narrated it; but what is well known from Mus'ab from his father is the hadith about the abrogation of tatbiq (pressing the palms together between the knees in bowing), and Allah knows best. Abd al-Aziz al-Darawardi has another chain for it, and I consider it nothing but an error.
