أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ السَّيَّارِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْمُوَجَّهِ، ثنا عَبْدَانُ، أنا عَبْدُ اللهِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، عَنْ حُمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبَانَ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، تَوَضَّأَ فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، فَغَسَلَهُمَا، ثُمَّ تَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ، وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى إِلَى الْمِرْفَقِ ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ الْيُسْرَى مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ يَدَهُ بِرَأْسِهِ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ قَدَمَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ الْيُسْرَى مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ نَحْوَ وُضُوئِي هَذَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ كَوُضُوئِي هَذَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَا يُحَدِّثُ فِيهِمَا بِشَيْءٍ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ". رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ عَبْدَانَ.
Humran bin Aban said: I saw Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him). He poured water over his hands three times and washed them, then he rinsed his mouth and blew his nose, and washed his face three times, then he washed his right arm up to and including the elbow three times, then the left in the same way, then he wiped his head with his hand, then he washed his right foot three times, then the left in the same way. Then he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) perform ablution like this, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution like this ablution of mine, then prays two rak'ahs in which no thought of anything arises in his heart, his previous sins will be forgiven."
