Bayhaqi 2405 — Opening the recitation in prayer with "Bismillah"

قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: " تُفْتَتَحُ الْقِرَاءَةُ بِـ {بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ} [الفاتحة: ١] ".
Sa'id bin Jubayr narrates from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the recitation should be begun with 'Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim' (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful).
