أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ السَّرَّاجُ، ثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْهَرُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ بِبِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ، فَتَرَكَ النَّاسُ ذَلِكَ " كَذَا قَالَهُ السَّرَّاجُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ قَيْسٍ، وَرَوَاهُ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ مُكْرَمٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ، وَهُوَ الصَّوَابُ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful' [Surah al-Fatihah: 1] aloud in the prayer, but the people have abandoned it.
