Bayhaqi 2208 — Turning the she-camel towards the qiblah at the opening

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرِ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ثنا رِبْعِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْجَارُودِ بْنِ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ الْهُذَلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ، حَدَّثَنِي الْجَارُودُ بْنُ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا سَافَرَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَطَوَّعَ بِالصَّلَاةِ اسْتَقْبَلَ بِنَاقَتِهِ الْقِبْلَةَ، فَكَبَّرَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى حَيْثُ تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ النَّاقَةُ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) travelled and intended to offer voluntary prayer, he would turn his mount towards the qiblah, then say the takbir, and then continue his prayer in whichever direction the she-camel faced.
