Ibn Muhayriz narrates from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Sirmah (may Allah be pleased with him) that they obtained female captives in the expedition of Banu al-Mustaliq. Some of us wanted to take them as wives and some wanted to sell them. They said to one another that this was not permissible. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not practise 'azl; whoever Allah has decreed is to be created until the Day of Resurrection will certainly come into being."
