أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أنبأ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: " إِذَا أَدَّى الْمُكَاتَبُ قِيمَةَ رَقَبَتِهِ فَهُوَ غَرِيمٌ ".
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the mukatab pays the value of his own person, he is a debtor (for the remainder).
