أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّزَّازُ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَاكِرٍ ثنا عَفَّانُ ثنا هَمَّامٌ ثنا قَتَادَةُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " صَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The middle prayer means the Asr prayer."
