Bayhaqi 21603 — Reports on the explanation of the words of Allah
وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الطَّرَائِفِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " إِنْ عَلِمْتُمْ لَهُمْ حِيلَةً، وَلَا تُلْقُوا مُؤْنَتَهُمْ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: If you perceive in them some means (of earning), then do not place their expenses upon the Muslims.
