Sa'id bin al-Musayyab narrates from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who traces it back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the day of Jumu'ah, angels are present at the doors of the mosques, writing down the names of those who come first. The one who comes first to the prayer is like one who sacrifices a camel; the one who comes after him receives the reward of sacrificing a cow, then a ram, a hen and an egg. When the imam sits, they roll up the scrolls and gather for the Friday sermon."
(b) In the narration of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): "Then (the reward) of offering a hen, and after that an egg."
(c) The sacrificial animal is from the eight (kinds of) animals.
