أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ مَعَ جَدَّةٍ لِي عَلَيْهَا مَشْيٌ، حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِبَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ عَجَزَتْ فَأَرْسَلَتْ مَوْلًى لَهَا إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا يَسْأَلُهُ، فَخَرَجْتُ مَعَهُ، فَسَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فَقَالَ: مُرْهَا فَلْتَرْكَبْ، ثُمَّ لِتَمْشِ مِنْ حَيْثُ عَجَزَتْ "..
Urwah bin Udhaynah said: I set out with my grandmother, who had vowed to perform Hajj on foot. When we had gone some way along the road, she became unable to walk. She sent her slave to Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) to ask him, and I went along too. He said: Tell her to ride, and then to walk from the point where she became unable.
