حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْعَلَوِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ أنبأ أَبُو حَامِدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، ثنا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو جَمْرَةَ قَالَ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ زَهْدَمٌ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهَ سَمِعَ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خَيْرُكُمْ قَرْنِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ قَوْمٌ بَعْدَهُمْ، يَخُونُونَ وَلَا يُؤْتَمَنُونَ، وَيَشْهَدُونَ وَلَا يُسْتَشْهَدُونَ، وَيَنْذِرُونَ وَلَا يُوفُونَ، وَيَظْهَرُ فِيهِمْ السِّمَنُ " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ، وَأَخْرَجَاهُ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ.
Abu Jamrah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Zahdam (may Allah have mercy on him) came to me, and he had heard Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best era is mine, then that of those who come after me, then that of those who come after them. Then after them there will come a people who will betray and will not be trustworthy; they will give testimony though their testimony is not asked for; they will make vows but not fulfil them; and obesity will appear among them."
