أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْمُقْرِئُ الْحِمَامِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى بِبَغْدَادَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي مَحْذُورَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أُمَنَاءُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِمْ وَسُحُورِهِمُ الْمُؤَذِّنُونَ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Mahdhurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The trustees of the Muslims, who safeguard their prayers and their suhur, are the muezzins."
