حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْعَلَوِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ سَلْمَوَيْهِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ السُّلَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ثنا حَيْوَةُ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمَكِّيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ، فَأَرْشَدَ اللهُ الْإِمَامَ وَعَفَا عَنِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The imam is a guarantor and the muezzin is entrusted; may Allah guide the imams and pardon the muezzin."
