Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When I went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in the shade of the Ka'bah saying: "By the Lord of the Ka'bah! They are the losers." I said (to myself): What is my condition? Has the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seen something in me? I sat down while he (peace and blessings be upon him) kept saying (the same thing). I could not remain silent, and a state came over me, as much as Allah willed. I said: O Messenger of Allah! May my father and mother be ransomed for you, who are they? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those with the most wealth, except those who spend their wealth like this and like this; they will remain safe."
