Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The she-camel of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was named al-Adba', and she had never been beaten. Once a Bedouin's camel beat her, and this was hard on the Muslims. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the signs of displeasure on their faces, and they said: "O Messenger of Allah! Al-Adba' has been beaten!" he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is Allah's law that whoever attains ascendancy in this world, one day decline also comes upon him."
(b) Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), relating the story of the Farewell Pilgrimage, says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rode his she-camel al-Qaswa', and the belly of his she-camel al-Qaswa' was touching the rocks.
