أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرِ بْنِ عُفَيْرٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْجَلَّالَةِ وَأَلْبَانِهَا. وَكَانَ عَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْجَلَّالَةِ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ وَالْغَنَمِ أَنْ تُؤْكَلَ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "He (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the meat and milk of the jallalah (the animal that feeds on filth)." Ata bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him) also forbade eating the meat of any camel or sheep that is a jallalah.
