Bayhaqi 19429 — Reports on the dabb (desert lizard)

Nafi' narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I would love to have white wheat bread moistened with ghee and milk." So a man from among the people brought it and presented it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "In what was this ghee kept?" He said: In a skin container made of lizard (dabb) hide. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take it away."
Abu Dawud recorded it in his Sunan and said: This is a munkar (rejected) hadith.
