Bayhaqi 19426 — Reports on the dabb (desert lizard)

Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that a lizard (dabb) was given to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as a gift, which he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not eat. I asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), shall we feed it to the poor?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not feed them what you yourselves do not eat."
Only Hammad bin Abi Sulayman narrated it with a connected chain (mawsul); it is also reported from him from Ibrahim from Aishah as mursal.
