Sa'id bin Jubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Ibn Abbas's maternal aunt, Umm Hufayd (may Allah be pleased with her), gave the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cheese, ghee and lizards (dabb) as a gift. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ate the cheese and the ghee and left the lizards. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The lizard was eaten at the dining cloth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); had it been unlawful, it would not have been eaten at his (peace and blessings be upon him) dining cloth.
