أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي فِي آخَرِينَ قَالُوا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أنبأ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قُلْتُ ⦗٥٣٥⦘ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ آكُلُ الضَّبُعَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قُلْتُ: أَصَيْدٌ هِيَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قُلْتُ: أَسَمِعْتَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ..
Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Ammar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I said to Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): "Is the hyena eaten?" He answered in the affirmative. I said: "Is it game?" He said: "Yes." I asked: "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He said: "Yes."
