Bayhaqi 19311 — Names it is disliked to give

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to forbid the names Ya'la, Barakah, Aflah, Yasar and Nafi', but he (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent and said nothing. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not forbid it until his death. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) also intended to forbid such names, but then left it.
