Bayhaqi 19220 — Permission to eat from the meat of sacrifices, to feed

Sayyidah Amrah (may Allah have mercy on her) narrates from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): We used to salt the meat of the sacrifice and dry it. When we brought it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in Madinah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat the meat of the sacrifice only for three days." But this was not binding; rather, he (peace and blessings be upon him) intended that others be fed from it.
