Salim bin Abdullah narrates from his father that a Bactrian camel belonging to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), for which he had been offered three hundred dinars, was dedicated as a sacrificial offering (hady). He wanted to sell it and buy sacrificial camels with its price, so he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about that, and he ordered him to slaughter it and not to sell it.
