أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ نُجَيْدٍ، أنبأ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَجُرُّ شَاةً لِيَذْبَحَهَا، فَضَرَبَهُ بِالدِّرَّةِ، وَقَالَ: سُقْهَا لَا أُمَّ لَكَ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ سَوْقًا جَمِيلًا.
Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a man dragging a goat to slaughter it, so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) struck him with the whip and said: "Lead it to its death in the best manner."
