Bayhaqi 19141 — Slaughtering with iron and with what is easiest

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man who had placed his foot on the neck of a goat and was sharpening his knife in front of it, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you not do this before? Do you want to kill it before slaughtering it?"
(b) Hammad bin Zayd narrates from Asim that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Will you kill it twice?"
Ma'mar narrated it from Asim as mursal, without mentioning Ibn Abbas in it.
