Bayhaqi 19037 — Sacrifice is a Sunnah which we love to keep

فذَكَرَ مَعْنَى مَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، أنبأ جَدِّي، يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ بُخْتٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا كَانَ إِذَا حَضَرَ الْأَضْحَى أَعْطَى مَوْلًى لَهُ دِرْهَمَيْنِ فَقَالَ: اشْتَرِ بِهِمَا لَحْمًا وَأَخْبِرِ النَّاسَ أَنَّهُ أَضْحَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ.
Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him), the freed slave of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), said that at the time of the sacrifice Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) would give him two dirhams, (saying): Buy meat with them and tell the people that this is the sacrifice of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
