أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا الْمُسَيِّبُ بْنُ وَاضِحٍ، ثنا الْمُسَيَّبُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ الْيَقْظَانِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " نَسَخَتِ الزَّكَاةُ كُلَّ ⦗٤٤٠⦘ صَدَقَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ، وَنَسَخَ غُسْلُ الْجَنَابَةِ كُلَّ غُسْلٍ، وَنَسَخَ صَوْمُ رَمَضَانَ كُلَّ صَوْمٍ، وَنَسَخَ الْأَضْحَى كُلَّ ذَبْحٍ ".
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Zakah has abrogated all the charities mentioned in the Qur'an, the ritual bath (ghusl) for major impurity has abrogated every (other) kind of bath, the fasting of Ramadan has abrogated every (other) kind of fast, and the sacrifice (of Eid al-Adha) has abrogated every (other) kind of slaughter."
