Abu Murrah, the freed slave of Aqil, asked Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) about a slaughtered sheep part of which moved, and Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) permitted eating it. Then Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about it, and he said: "A dead animal, I think, does move; do not eat it."
