Bayhaqi 18849 — Fulfilling a covenant when the agreement
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا عُيَيْنَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَوْشَنٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهَدًا فِي غَيْرِ كُنْهِهِ حَرَّمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever unjustly kills a mu'ahad (one with whom a covenant has been made), Allah Almighty will make Paradise forbidden for him."
