Sayyidah Umm al-Rubayyi' bint al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the mother of Harithah bin Suraqah, came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Tell me about Harithah, who died on the day of Badr from a stray arrow. If he is in Paradise, I will be patient, and if he is elsewhere, I will weep my fill." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umm Harithah, he is in the gardens of Paradise, and your son is indeed in Jannat al-Firdaws." Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Al-Firdaws is an elevated place in Paradise, in the middle of Paradise, and its most excellent place."
