أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: كَانَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ حِينَ قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي بَدْءِ الْأَذَانِ وَفِي آخِرِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَا بِلَالُ قُمْ فَنَادِ بِالصَّلَاةِ " أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ كَمَا مَضَى.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Muslims came to Madinah, then he narrated the hadith about the beginning of the adhan; at its end it says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Bilal, stand and call the adhan for the prayer!"
