وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، قَالَ: أَمَرَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنْ يُشْتَرَى لَهُ رَقِيقٌ وَقَالَ: " لَا يُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَ الْوَالِدِ وَوَلَدِهِ ". وَرُوِيَ هَذَا مَوْصُولًا.
Ayyub (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) ordered that slaves be bought for him, and said: "A father and his child are not to be separated."
