Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard three things from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about Banu Tamim, after which I will never hate Banu Tamim: Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) had vowed to free a slave from the descendants of Isma'il (peace be upon him). When captives were taken from Banu al-Anbar and brought, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Aishah! If you would like to fulfil your vow, free a slave from these people." He (peace and blessings be upon him) counted them among the descendants of Isma'il. And when the camels of charity were brought and he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw their beauty, he said: "These animals belong to my people." The narrator says that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They are the fiercest of people in battles."
