(a) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and then he related the long hadith, in which it is: "The time of the Subh prayer is from the breaking of dawn as long as the sun has not risen. When the sun has risen, he should refrain from prayer, because it rises between the two horns of Satan."
(b) In Sahih Muslim it is: "When the sun rises, he should refrain from prayer, because the sun rises between the two horns of Satan."
