أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ نَشِيطٍ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ: إِنَّ لَنَا جِيرَانًا يَشْرَبُونَ الْخَمْرَ وَيَفْعَلُونَ وَيَفْعَلُونَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " مَنْ رَأَى عَوْرَةً فَسَتَرَهَا كَانَ كَمَنْ أَحْيَا مَوْءُودَةً مِنْ قَبْرِهَا ".
Abu al-Haytham (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It was said to Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him): We have a neighbour who drinks wine and does such-and-such. He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever sees something of another that ought to be concealed and conceals it, it is as if he has brought a girl buried alive back to life from her grave."
