أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُؤْمِنِ بْنِ شَبَّانَ الْعَطَّارُ، بِبَغْدَادَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْبَاقِي بْنُ قَانِعٍ، ثنا حَامِدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا شُرَيْحٌ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنْ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ضَرَبَ رَجُلًا حَدًّا فَزَادَهُ الْجَلَّادُ سَوْطَيْنِ، فَأَقَادَهُ مِنْهُ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ.
Abdullah bin Ma'qil (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) had a man given a hadd punishment, and the executioner gave him two extra lashes, so he (may Allah be pleased with him) granted him retaliation against him.
