Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I had forbidden you from visiting graves. Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has been given permission (to visit) his mother's grave, so you too may visit them; it is a reminder of the Hereafter. And I had forbidden you from keeping the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days, so that the one with means would spend on the one in hardship; so now eat as you wish, feed others and store it. And I had prevented you from using these vessels; you may use them, but an intoxicant is not lawful, for vessels neither make the lawful forbidden nor the forbidden lawful."
