Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr al-Hadrami (may Allah be pleased with him) brought a slave to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: He has stolen, so cut off his hand. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: What did he steal? He said: My wife's mirror, whose price was 60 dirhams. So he (may Allah be pleased with him) did not cut off his hand, and said: Part of your property has stolen another part of your property.
