أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، أنبأ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أنبأ حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: " يُقْطَعُ النَّبَّاشُ " وَرُوِّينَاه عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي التَّارِيخِ: قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ: ثنا سُهَيْلٌ قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ قَطَعَ نَبَّاشًا: أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْفَارِسِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبُخَارِيُّ، فَذَكَرَهُ قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ: وَقَالَ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ: كُنَّا نَتَّهِمُهُ بِالْكَذِبِ، يَعْنِي سُهَيْلًا وَهُوَ سُهَيْلُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ أَبُو السِّنْدِيِّ الْمَكِّيُّ.
Ata' (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The hand of the grave robber is to be cut. We have also narrated this from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him).
Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said in al-Tarikh: Hushaym said: Suhayl narrated to us; he said: I was present with Ibn al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) when he cut the hand of a grave robber.
Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Abbad bin al-Awwam said: We used to accuse Suhayl bin Dhakwan Abu al-Sindi al-Makki of lying.
