قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، أنبأ سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: " كَانَ بَدْءُ الصَّلَاةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بِالْعَشِيِّ ".
Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: In the beginning, the prayer was two rak'ahs in the morning and two rak'ahs in the late afternoon.
