أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " ذِمَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَاحِدَةٌ، يَسْعَى بِهَا أَدْنَاهُمْ، فَمَنْ أَخْفَرَ مُسْلِمًا فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ، لَا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْهُ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ جَمَاعَةٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ.
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The protection (dhimmah) of the Muslims is one; even the lowest of them is equal in it. Whoever violates the protection given by a Muslim, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels and all the people, and none of his worship, neither voluntary nor obligatory, will be accepted."
